Bella Moda | WHEN YOU STEP INTO YOUR OWN BEAUTIFUL STYLE, YOUR LIFE CHANGES

By Dominick Hiddo

For some of us, stylish clothes and accessories are just vain idols of our materialistic fashion industry. Um, duh. Of course they are. And, with a little twist of life enhancing benefits. We all love fashion and style. There are many, though, that tend to relegate our industry of beautiful things as just merely, "stuff". And in essence, it is stuff. But our dear friend Miranda Priestly, would abhorrently disagree. The [fictional?] fashion queen has beautifully said that this thing we call 'stuff' only came to be because of the beautiful fashion styles from designer collection upon collection, which would eventually trickle down to the casual corners of the world through mass production. So thank goodness for innovative designers like DVF, Ralph Lauren, and Marc Jacobs for their amazing creations leading to our beautiful and joyful bounty of stuff. Ah that stuff. It brings us such sweet joy. It makes us feel good. It makes us feel appreciated. And not because we try to be stylish and fashionable. But, it's when we become that fashion and style, our lives pour over with happiness. It's Bella Moda (Italian, pronounced Bel-la Mo-da): that beautiful fashion of yours. That individual unique style and fashion. It is when we step into that and live like the fashion deities that we all are, then we experience that life changing and enhancing bliss. But how does this happen? When does this happen? Well, in all honesty it's not something you're taught, but it's something you just kinda figure out: like most things in this wonderful world.

The Final Countdown | THREE QUESTIONS TO HELP YOU FEEL HAPPIER, HEALTHIER, AND MORE FULFILLED IN THE NEW YEAR

By Dominick H. & Katie G.

Art by @honschar

It’s that time of year again. You know, the time of year where we're supposed to reflect on the past 365 days and make promises to ourselves for the future. We resolve to be happier and healthier. We resolve to take the steps to exercise, diet, go for a new job, find a fulfilling relationship, or maybe even take up a new hobby. But, after the month is finished and the excitement of the new year starts to wind down, we suddenly find ourselves back in our old patterns. Hmm, sound familiar? Well, you’re not alone. We’ve been there – and apparently only 8% of people who set resolutions actually achieve them, so we know you’ve been there too.  But, despite the statistics, we're committed to a happier, healthier, more fulfilling 2016. And, to get there, we're doing things a little differently.

Black Mass | WHY ACTIVATED CHARCOAL MIGHT BE THE SECRET TO BETTER HEALTH & SKIN

By Katie G.

You might see it in your juices and you might see it in your skincare products. You might even see it in your teeth whiteners. As of late, activated charcoal seems to be everywhere. Its gritty texture gives juices a tint of blackish-grey and turns skin coal-black when used as a face mask. You might wonder how something that looks so off-putting can be good for you. But, after doing some research (and much first-hand trial), it turns out that activated charcoal is less of something that's a passing fad and more of something that has real long-term health and beauty benefits. So, how does it actually work?

Wrestling With God | COMING FACE-TO-FACE WITH FEAR AND LIVING IN LOVE, FOREVER

It is our dear 32nd President of the United Sates, Franklin D. Roosevelt, that stated in his inaugural address to the nation in 1933: "The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself". He is seemingly insinuating that not only is fear a creation of our own mind, but also that fear itself cannot affect us unless we let it. To even allow fear to exist in our lives allows it to flourish and exist in our body and mind: so we must delete it and be rid of it. But how? How can we delete fear from our body and mind? How can we delete it from our entire existence? The mere fact that we are even reading this article means we acknowledge the existence of fear. And the mere fact that I even chose to write this article means that I, too, am acknowledging its existence. So, eradicating it forever is truly easier said than done. But it is possible. Everything is possible. But, where do we start?

How I'm Doing It In NYC | THREE OF MY FAVORITE THINGS THAT KEEP ME HAPPY AND HEALTHY

Hiddo / project: Clean Food

It is so hard out there to stay focused, and motivated, and inspired to live an authentic and honest life that is filled with health and happiness. I've definitely battled and struggled with it every single day of my life. But instead of focusing on the terror and negativity of society and the media, I'm just focusing on doing me. Instead of worrying about what is going to happen or not going to happen, I'm just focusing on doing me. Don't get me wrong, it's super hard out there to be consistent. It is a lot of work and commitment and dedication required to stay healthy both mentally and physically. It is lot of work to keep your body and mind physically fit. It is a lot of work to keep your surroundings healthy and pure each and every day. So it is important to follow your intuition and your heart and your spirit; let it guide you to all that you wish for. Let your intuition and your spirit continually guide you towards that beautiful life that you've always dreamed of. It's a challenging battle to get there, but we have to work hard and devote ourselves to that healthier, happier life. We deserve at least that much.

So what am I doing these days?
