Here we have one of the most amazing and super healthy foods here on planet Earth. This beautiful fruit is a part of the berry family. It was originally cultivated in China. Some other original cultivators of the fruit were India, Siberia and New Zealand. Today, Italy is one of the largest suppliers of Kiwifruit around the world. And, in addition to its worldly origins, it has a host of benefits that make it our superfood of the week. Curious? Read on.
Kiwi is so very delicious and very tasty. It has one of the highest sources of vitamin C known (possibly even higher than Oranges). It is also filled with fiber, potassium, beta-carotene (which converts to vitamin A when passing through the body), vitamin E and slew of other nutrients and minerals. As a rejuvenator, this fruit is great for helping the body to improve eyesight, purifying the kidneys and liver, revitalizing the skin cells and tissue cells. Kiwis are also great enhancers of brain functionality as it allows the flow of blood to be strong and balanced in these areas. Some even go as far as to cut them up and put them over their eyes or on skin irritations. And we all need anti-aging benefits from time to time. 

With regard to healing, this fruit is great for soar throats and flu as the vitamin-C content is high enough to ease these symptoms drastically. For those suffering from digestive issues such as colitis, diverticulitis, constipation or bacterial infections, Kiwifruit has been known to help the body when dealing with these discomforts. The fruit has the power to remove excess mucous and bad bacteria from the body: and we need that when we live in or around major metropolitan cities. This is also one of the reasons why asthma sufferers have found it beneficial to eat kiwis when to help with strengthening the lung muscles and removing mucous from these areas as well.

The kiwi can be consumed in a variety of ways. Some people cut them up and put them in a nice salad. Some blend them up nicely in a smoothie to start the day. Or some get even more creative and add them into various meals and desserts like Kiwi-based pies as well as Kiwi sweet tarts. The kiwifruit should definitely be a staple in your diet. It is widely available. And, if you are fortunate enough to find it and buy it locally from a nearby Kiwi farm or purveyor, you will definitely be in for a lovely treat. Feel free to get creative with this superfood. It will leave you feeling radiantly healthy and amazing each and every time you consume it.
